As a result of popular demand, the Club Challenge is returning for 2023! Just like last year there are trail and road options for all the distances. You can choose whether you stick with road or trail, or do both. Maps and GPX files of the routes available on the site.
This year we’re offering: 5k (in January), 5 mile (in February) and 10k (in March). We’re hoping to put on some guided runs over the routes; watch the club email list and race WhatsApp group for more on that.
There aren’t any mugs or prizes this year and you don’t have to do a certain number of races to take part; do as many or as little as you like/are able to. The winners will be the fastest outright female and male times, and the best age-graded female and male, per race.
There is separate Romsey Road Runners Results web app which includes leaderboards for each race that update automatically. You can link your Strava account so your results get submitted automatically, manually submit your results on the site or just email us. Full details are on the Submitting Results page.
The Race WhatsApp group will also serve as the Club Challenge WhatsApp group. Let us know via the Contact Form if you would like to join.
The Rules
Each race will be live for one month only.
Each race is run along a designated route.
GPX and maps of the routes are available from the Race pages on the Results site.
The start and finish of the routes are clearly annotated on the maps and GPX files in the links above.
We will accept Strava activities, GPX files, a photo of your watch (or equivalent) showing time and distance as evidence of your result. These should preferably be submitted to the site, but can also be submitted via email.
Please submit your fastest elapsed time, not your moving time.
Make sure you’ve sent your time in by the end of the month to be included in the results.
Full rules, maps and more information are available at the Romsey Road Runners Results site. Any problems or questions, please email Sam [email protected] for help.
